- Active ingredients naturally strip away the waxy coating and destroy the leaf cuticle on the plant, causing it to dry up and die. This is achieved by interrupting the photosynthesis process.
- Kills more than 200 species of brush, weeds, and grasses. Affects all the vegetation that comes in contact with the spray.
- Post emergent herbicide. Will not control weeds or vegetation that have not yet germinated.
- Works best on dry, sunny days. However, it can be used in differing weather conditions.
- Fast-acting with visible results in less than 2 hours after being treated. Plant species, types of waxy coating, and weather, all affect the length of time is takes to be weed-free.
- Because there is no residual soil activity, it is safe to re-enter an area immediately after Lonarch has dried. Children, pets, livestock, and other animals can then inhabit the sprayed areas. If not completely dry, Lonarch may inadvertently be transferred to other foliage.
- Areas can be replanted within hours of being treated.
- Will not stain concrete driveways, bricks, or paved areas.
- Unlike vinegar-based products, Lonarch is non-corrosive, which leads to less time needed for equipment/sprayer maintenance and won't clog spray nozzles.
- Contains no glyphosate.
- Lonarch is classified as a minimal risk product. It meets the requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), therefore does not need to be registered with the EPA.
- 25B exempt: classified by Washington State University, can be used without special permission on daycare properties, K-8 school grounds, and playgrounds.
