Product details
Deer Scram 6lbs granular repellent is an all-natural, biodegradable product designed to deter deer and rabbits from gardens, shrubs, and trees. It is manufactured by EPIC Repellents.
Product features
- Mechanism: The repellent emits an odor that, to deer and rabbits, suggests the presence of a predator or dead kin. This triggers a strong, fear-based response that causes the animals to avoid the treated area.
- Ingredients: It is a natural, organic formula made from animal by-products and spices, such as blood meal, meat meal, garlic, red pepper, and cloves.
- Odor: While it has a scent that is offensive to deer, it has no strong or foul odor for humans.
- Safety: The product is environmentally safe, non-toxic, and safe for use around pets and children when used as directed.
- Weather resistance: The formula is water-resistant and holds up through normal rainfall. Reapplication is only necessary after heavy downpours.
Application instructions
- Area preparation: Choose the garden, flowerbed, or shrubs you want to protect. For individual plants, apply a strip about 18 inches from the base.
- Coverage: The initial application should visibly cover the ground. For larger beds or plots, create a 16- to 24-inch perimeter barrier.
- Reapplication: Reapply the granules every 30 to 45 days. Reapplication is also necessary after very heavy rainfall.
